How Do We End Up With These Fears and Misconceptions?
People have such strong misconceptions about what would actually happen if they were to talk to a stranger. We put our best face forward with people we don't know as well, so generally, those kind of negative things probably happen less with strangers and acquaintances than they would with people we're really close to. There's several studies now showing that people think they're worse than average in terms of these social skills. People are more negative about their social lives and their social networks, am than than they should be. If you say, what's going to happen the next conversation, i don't believe it will weigh better than nuregulation. It matters a lot to us as humans to be accepted
