Shelling and Darwinism in the World of Sophy
There was a lot of evolutionary thinking going on prior to darwin. Darwin didn't even use the word evolution. He talked about transformism. And hegel takes shelling's side in this, because this dispute between shelling and fichta had boiled over. In that cosmological process of evolution, or that absolute, you know, divine point of view, certainly has a sort of culm ation in the work of hegel and the idea of the absolute spirit.
