How Did You Manage Your Emotions?

i just sort of got that thing about all you can really control is your response to what happens to you. And then as time went on, i did find mindfulness, and did that fairly intensively. It wasn't really about being able to clear my mind as much as it was understanding what it was like for me. Is that? Am i over simplified that? No, i think, i think that's right. It was irealized i had my own path, and i was going to need to be the one to to help myself.
