The Importance of Ambition in Jealousy
At the core, jealousy is a form of self centeredness and narcissism. It's incredibly narcissistic because with jealousy other people's stories become less about them and more about us. C.S. Lewis interacts with this thought in mere Christianity when he talks about pride - which is just a form of jealousy.
