I'm often concerned that non-specialists will miss those subtleties when they watch a maths lesson. What I firmly believe in is that we're all professionals, and you know, there are hundreds of thousands of people working in education. There are things that they'll be able to spot. But spotting learning is really hard. And the only person in the room that does know that is the teacher.
