The Substantial Form of an Object Is a Thing

In the suma, Aquinas wrote that natural forces result from their substantial forms. So a magnet's ability to attract iron comes from the magnet's substantial form. The same is true of any other natural body that can exert a natural force. It gets othat ability from its substantial form, and thus, indirectly, from the stars.
