Wilson: I was teaching an anthropology seminar about brain evolution. A colleague of mine said, look, we see the same thing in social insects. They don't necessarily have brains the way we think of them. And so what you see is that ants and wasps and other social insects are more social until they reach a point where they're u social. The ganglia size dops off. Wilson: We rely heavily on each other in order to function. It's in part because we as individuals don't know everything there is to know about your own survival.
