Is Need Love Really Selfless?
Lewis was actually thinking about nygrine's concepts are inadequate. The basic idea is agape, gift love is totally selfless. God loves us, totally giving of himself. A child who runs to his mother because it's hungry or because it scraped its knee isn't very God-like. Lewis deconstructs that notion. He says that's too simplistic. We're made to be dependent on God.
