Why Did You Choose Law?

When I was a teenager, I joined the Labour Party. And I wanted to really go into politics. But my mum and dad said, no, you need to get a decent job. And law was, I mean, we talked about it. Well, it was sort of their idea. To be honest, I didn't really know what going into law meant. Mum and Dad didn't have any friends or lawyers. I'd never met a lawyer. I don't think I knew that when I arrived at university. It sort of blew my mind with all the different experiences I've never had before."
