The project of the viena circle is more radical than people actually appreciate. The principle of verificationism itself is neither true by definition, nor is it verifiable. But in that way, they could absorb questions about things that might be taking place in another galaxy. We'd have tobeable to reach planet and then perform certain kinds of tests,. like the presence of micro lifoms or whatever.
