When Lawyers Spread Disinformation

The Lawfare Podcast

CHAPTER

Affirmative Misrepresentation in Court

It is really rare, in my experience, for lawyers to be subject to investigation and disbarment and sanction for conduct of the sort that a rudi giliani was subject to. For one thing, as you said, notwithstanding the jokes about lawyers, they don't actually tend to do that very often. More rare, he or she had a conflict of interests that they didn't dequately disclosed, and i was not made aware of them until after i lost. So these inst es of outright fraud are rare. The only exception to that rule is that lawyers are often disbarred for fraud unrelated to their being a lawyer.
