Jason Johnson: The government at current state is never going to allow me to reach your burner style. What if I wanted like, just a stable bank that was basically like a vault for my cash? He says Warren Mosler once took depositors' money and deposited it with their competitor instead of paying them 5% on deposits. Johnson: To the degree that you can start a bank, attract lots of customer deposits, pay them a much lower rate than what you're earning on excess reserves deposit at the Fed, then yeah, you're describing exactly what Zed's been sort of pining about here.
