The Healing Power of Being With Dying
The healing is always found in the middle of the suffering. I used to think I knew something about dying until after my heart attack, then I realized I didn't know anything. The one other thing that being with dying has shown me is the possibility of what happens when we turn toward our suffering. We're always running in the other direction away from it. It waxes us in the back of the head, you know?
