I'd Stayed Late the Night Before, After Closing Time, and She Asked Me if I Had Messed With Any of the Displays, and I Said No.
Lana, the ring mistress at Fantons in London, was forced to let Jan do her last shift alone. When she came into work a display of raincoats had been vandalised. The mannequin's limbs were disassembled and its head glued on with red pom-pom. Lana refused to take action against Jan but told her that without any other credible explanation there would be no way she could keep letting me stay behind all by my lonesome. She eventually gave up trying to find out who'd done it - but not before telling us about CCTV footage which did nothing to help our case.
