The data that relate to the pioneer anomaly are from the cres period after the encounters with jupiter and saturn. Did pioneer ten and 11 simply in a wet yer inspire other people's appetites to go back to Jupiter and anolit? Absolutely, absolutely. I mean, they were both fly by, so that there was very limited data, but it was rich, and allowed us to see that there was a lot more going on than we had ever imagined.
