The Serfs of the Saltakova Estate

Daria saltakova was a widow at age 25. She lived on an estate south of moscow, with around 600 serfs to work the land. According to allegations, saltakova's bitterness and loneliness curdled in her heart into a twisted cruelty. If one of her servants spilled tea or forgot one of their chores, saltikova would beat them with logs or shove them down the stairs. Most of her victims were young women.
