The liberal conception of justice for balls is meant to be free from any particular comprehensive doctrine. It's meant to be the overlapping consensus of these doctrines. But I don't think that it's possible to have a society that doesn't include controversial elements. And especially when you're talking about something like how you distribute time or how you distribute roles to people. That is going to be done in a way that's controversial.
