The Advantages of Dutch Auctions
In this kind of auction, you get to say to yourself, the market has spoken. The advantage of this sort of auction is that the fear of missing out is palpable and it might make someone jump sooner than they ordinarily would. In a Dutch auction, the auctioneer picks a price higher than anyone wants to pay and then starts going down, backwards, lowering the price until someone says, I'll take it.
