The Irony of Materialism
There is an assumption that materialism is completely intelligible, if we can make sense. The rigorous idea of matter as that mechanical stuff was quickly abandoned by Newton. We don't even have the notion of matter in the first place, in a rigorous sense. And so i it's sort of funny how the onus is frequently placed on the side of those who are trying to counter materialism. I mean, scientifically, we don't know what material means.
