The 20-somethings of the 2020s in China bear a very strong resemblance to the slackers of the late 20th century. They're jaded after years of studying hard and finding out the reality of the job market. If they do get a job, they're not working as hard, or they're quitting. Some may call them slacking off, but inside China, this new generation calls it something else. In Chinese, it's called tamping, which means lying flat.
