The Institute of Noetic Sciences
The Institute of Noetic Sciences was founded in 1973 by Edgar Mitchell, who was the sixth man on the moon. Some of our work involves parapsychological effects but we're also interested in the general notion of interconnectedness as a general concept or as a working hypothesis. So it's somewhere between philosophy of idealism or dual aspect monism or just straightforward esoteric mysticism. We do use the tools and techniques of science as in any other area of science but we apply it to study these kinds of topics and phenomena.
