The Connection Between God and the Cosmos

John was masterfully placing Jesus into a cosmic story, the cosmic story. He was saying that in order for you to understand who Jesus is, you need to start back at the beginning. The point here is that God's words shaped reality, his words, what he spoke out created the world.
