In gambling and investing, your edge can be approximated as the valuable information you have that no one else has. Mark made a career out of verifying whether the evidence fit his hypothesis. We were short a company called direct focus, and they were making all sorts of claims about their their inflamable beds. A lot of these beds were never really opened or properly returned. They were just thrown away.
