The Brain as a Computer

I've recently, by the way, changed my mind about the brain as a computer. Your brain has somewhere between 100 and 200 billion neurons - no two are alike. They're not as slavish as the flip flops in the machine but they are computing. So I think the task of emulating all that in silicon is possible in principle, but really unlikely.
