The Rational Soul

The rational soul, left to its own devices, eventually becomes sort of detached from the world and falls into sloth or asediat right? You become disfranchised with everything, you know, how everything should work, but you don't feel engaged with any of it. And what doyou think would be the if the spirited soul a run amuck to the detriment of the others? Ah, bye. That is the platonic tripartide soul. There does seem to be periods of history where, a, we were too, too rational to thebenefit of the other two.
