Don't Make It Harder for Your Students to Critique You
When i get a request for critique, and this is on line, so they're sending me photographs of their work, showing me the real thing. And i get a really bad photograph of their drawing, where i can't even see the lines, or there's a big shadow going across, it doesn't really help me be motivated to give you a critique. It shows me that you don't really care enough about your work. Why should i? Right? A lot of students don't know to do that. They just haven't given it thought, yes, but it's something to give thought early on. Once criteria have been explained, you've got the wicked environment,
