Inpatient Assessment Orders - Is There a Risk?
Mental health clinician placed a woman under an inpatient assessment order. She had been missing for a week and her mother was very worried about her. Psychiatrist says she became agitated at the prospect of being admitted to hospital. 'I want you to know you can ask me any question you like and I'll give you a straight answer,' he tells her. He adds: 'There's no point in dancing around fluffy language, that's where we're going' The patient is now back on home care but will undergo further treatment.
