The Empire Learned a Lesson From the Empire
In 1896 an Indian convict who escaped from a penal colony was found dead on north sentinel island by arrows with his throat cut. The British Empire eventually learned the lesson and left the island alone for like a century after this point. In 1974 scientists in armed police boats tried to bribe their way into landing the north sentinel Island, but they were shot out of the boat before they could reach them.
