The Importance of Greetings From Allen's
Dr Allen had been wondering for some time whether the British and Americans had informed the Russians about the atomic bomb project, or the signs were that they had not. It seemed to me then, in the highest degree, unlikely that the Americans would voluntarily share the atomic weapon with anyone, and certainly not with the Russians. I devoted a large part of my time securing as much information as possible from Chicago on behalf of the British. Now I have the opportunity to extend the same help to the Russians. Fortunately, I was well-equipped for the job.
