The Importance of Failure

There's a lot of feeling around in the dark for like, who are we to one another? And I think that that's like one of the big things that kind of emerges, especially in three. The profession attracts people with addictive tendencies because it's so ephemeral. It is damaging to people who do this kind of intensity every night forever until they either burn out or move on to something else. But if you bust your ass for however long you do to write a book and you're lucky enough to have it published, other people can read it past the first sit down. And then you can move on tosomething else.
