Are We Data Scientists or Are We Statistians?
Data science is fundamentally a team exercise. You do have to have people who really are experts at these different areas so that they can come together to do a good job. Right now, i think people view the data science as people who can manage huge volumes of data and build predictive models. That's kind of mostly what that's about. But i think it will become an team sport, ye, you know, like in other areas such as programming or machine learning.
