The Wookiees' Reluctance to Leave Attachment Behind

The Wookiees don't normally become Jedi because they're very connected to family and tribe. And the Jedi make you abandon your emotional attachments to become a Jedi. I think they actually may be stronger as force users than the average person due to their 400-year age span. But that barrier is the Wookiees reluctance to leave attachment behind.
