Are There Design Differences Between the Three?

Supercruise of the three systems that we investigate in this survey permits hands-free driving whereas autopilot and propilot assist do not. Supercruise has driver management design principles built in so that it encourages drivers to keep their eyes on the road. However what our study has shown is that activities that involve a hand often involve the eyes as well. It's not clear how hands- free driving specifically impacts how people use their technology but definitely there is an indication from these data that everyone might.
