Mac Pro M2 Max 8 Performance Cores 4 Efficiency Cores
The m2 max chip has two more efficiency cores instead of adding power cores. It's an interesting choice and it really i feel like shows how apple is thinking about it silicon, John says. Apple doesn't write this down in the notes but they make slightly different choices than the m1 max. The decisions are presumably informed by the m1 Max experience with that processor.
