The Power of Narrative

I wrestle quite a bit with what belongs to me I think in this book separate from conversations of you know once the work is out it doesn't really belong to me anymore it belongs to a readership hopefully. My poetics and especially in this work are informed by questions of trust and perhaps misplaced devotion or loyalty. While I absolutely believe in the power of storytelling and narrative as a force of good when that has the power to support our democracy in the right ways but also have witnessed how narrative can be misconstrued for the opposite outcome.
