The Spooky Side of Upstate New York

As an author, hailing from upstate New York, how has the regions landscape and culture influenced the settings and themes in your stories? There's such rich also folklore and urban legends here in New York because we have so many pockets of metropolitan and then you've got very low country things. So the settings for me are really, it's kind of easy to write in my genre because it's so spooky here a lot of the times.
