The Missouri Mormons were still scattered and nasty rumors were starting a swirl in Kirtland that threatened to ruin Joseph Smith. It's thought that it was in this place in 1835 that the first seeds of polygamy were planted all because Joseph Smith was just a little too horny for his own good.
