The Giants Are Eating People, Right?
The ancient Near East is key for understanding the pre-flood world. The idea of one generation of gods rebelling against the other, that's very reflective and analogous to what you see happening with the fallen angels in the Genesis account. People were oppressed on a daily basis if apocryphal accounts are correct. They were probably killed for ritual and food purposes.
