Extra Cellular Proteins - Why Are They Undruggable?
There are many important therapeutic targets that are in the extra cellular space, right? Sometimes their cell surface proteins where there's very little of their mass inside the cell and a majority of their masses kind of facing the out world. And so why are some of these extra cellular proteins undruggable? Well, again, very similar reasons. Some of them have a biological function which you just cannot block with an anti body. So for all these reasons, we started thinking about ways that one might target those extra cellular proteins for degradation. The way we do it is we make by functional molecules.
