Darwin's School Was a Waste of Time
In school you would be taught Latin for example, grammar and Greek. You also possibly would have learned French which is like what English is today in much of the world. But there was no science at least at the very very best schools but this wasn't the case in Schruzburg School. The headmaster's response to discovering that Charles Darwin was spending time collaborating with his brother Erasmus on scientific experiments were crassly negative. He denounced him as a stupid fellow who will attend to his gases and his rubbish but will not work at anything useful.
