The Difference Between Discriminative Models and Degenerative Models

When i first started with machine learning, there was a handful of algorithms that i got. But then i was introduced to these probablistic models that i'm describing in this episode. It's like algorithms that have a p it for probability, versus algorithms that take in a bunch of features and is some weird mathematical equation. So discriminative models are your things that take in some features and spit out an output. They give you a classification or something like this.Generative models are two separate classes of algorithms. For the longest time i thought generative models meant models that generate something like a chatbot might generate sequences of words. But that's not what generative in generative models
