The Importance of Feedback in Teaching
When you say teaching, you're now changing that onus, right? Especially for type of patient care. So if I'm teaching about patient care and I don't frame it as teaching and my intern, my residence or my medical students starts thinking about this is actually tied to that patient's care that ups the stakes. They may be more hesitant to put out the wrong answers. It creates a little bit of a safety net for them to explore and to push. And so another thing that I've realized as I've grown is also peer mentorship. We have that sort of peer teaching relationship. The generational gaps are much smaller.
