Is Asafi Different From the University Model?

Asafi: We decided to start again from a blank slate. It's truly interdisciplinary. You have economists and tmaticians and biologists and physicists all throwing in their two sents on the same problems. I mean, just as an example, we know there's all this debate now about the demise of the humanities,. But we've, from the very beginning, decided that that wasn't a worth while distinction between the natural sciences and the humanities. And so what happens when you ignore all that and say, let's certainly use the skills that we've acquired in the disciplines, but let's leave them at the door and and just be intelligent about complex problems?
