The Importance of Impurities in Colorless Minerals
When you have a colorless mineral, there's not rungs of ladders that can be absorbed to go up to. It's either the, those gaps are too big or too small. But if you put an impurity in there, it opens up new rungs that may not have been there before. And it takes it, it only takes like 1% of aluminum to be swapped out for this impurity for the color to change. Isn't that amazing?
