The Health Benefits of Washouts
I'm always cautious about our real estate because when we're doing well, we want more space. But on Wall Street, we have a tendency to be more in a cyclical business than people really fully appreciate. So I always try to take the mama bear approach and just say, okay, everybody relax. We'll put more people in this space. And if the world comes to an end and people need to leave the firm, we'll operate in this environment. It's probably bad for me health wise when I look at my portfolio but yes, I do think it's a healthy thing.
