Carolyn Smith convinced two women that she was the only thing protecting them from eternal damnation. Both her husband and a maid had taken their lives under peculiar circumstances. Scores more connected to Smith would meet convenient deaths, many too had insurance policies purchased on them by her. The home at East 21st Street would become a morbid attraction around Tulsa until it was leveled in 1975 for a parking lot. Today an apartment complex sits on the ground where the infamous house once stood.
