Frodo sprang up and drew sting from its sheath with his left hand, he drew back gallum's head by his thin, lank hair. All he could do was to butt his hard, round head sideways into the creature's face. Gallum hissed and spat, but he did not let go. Things would have gone ill with sam if he had been alone.
