we got her out of the psych ward, got her hooked up with therapy, and over the next two years, had her in pretty intensive therapy for self-harm. Every couple of months, I would see new cuts. And I would think it's episodic. And I researched everything I could on self-harm, all the studies I could. And I understand it's largely an adolescent phenomenon. It's largely self-limiting. That is to say, it usually runs about a two-year course. I had been insisting to everyone that it's tied to social media, especially my daughter who would deny that. Yeah. When you say tied to social media, what do you, what, yeah, say more about that. So I didn't know how, but my gut was telling me, knowing my daughter, that she would have taken a picture of this and uploaded it to her friends. And it would have been, especially given how big and bold it was. Big and bold. You mean the cuts? The cut. Yeah. The original cut sign. Because it wasn't mine. It wasn't little. It was massive. It was symmetrical. It was art, like a piece of art, you know? And it's not something that you're going to do at random. It was for show. And again, knowing my daughter, it's like my instinct was saying she's doing this to show someone. So I assumed that social media meant she was taking pictures, maybe showing her friends at school, sending a video of it or something like that. So over the next two years, there would be various periods where I would take the phone away. We'd go for periods without the phone because of behavior problems. And I would search through the phone. I'd find really disturbing things on the phone and would not get satisfactory answers. And I would, what my therapist would call, spend all this time trying to crack the code, which is to say, try to understand her and what's going on. So I saw screenshots of memes of pretty horrific self-harm wounds, of Nazi ideology, of Hitler putting his fingers together to form a heart of gore, that really, really freaked me out. And when you say gore, what do you? Mutilated dead bodies. Mutilated dead bodies. Some child porn. When I would see these things, I would think, what's wrong with her? And so I talked to her therapist, I'd bring her in and we talked and she'd say, well, I just thought that was interesting. Or the gore, she said, you know, looking at it medicinally, it's the cadaver. I want to know these body parts, the names of them. And, you know, she'd come up with these explanations, you know, or, oh, Satanism. That was the other thing that I saw that was disturbing. She'd say, oh, I just saw that and I wanted to scare my friends. So I downloaded it to send to my friends to scare them. And did you find that she was forwarding these various
