How to Use Canned Motions During Phonemic Awareness Instruction
Teachers can use canned motions or alconan boxes during phonemic awareness instruction to help students see that connection. Oftentimes, when we're looking at student writing, you can see the sounds they can hear and the sounds they're not yet able to hear. That's a skill that transfers to decoding.
