Tensorit: A Fantasy Setting

One of my favorite books that has a wildly different world building choice here is JYANG's Tensorit series. Alternatively, you can go to the other end of the spectrum and be like Lois McMaster Beajold with the work of Zagan Saga. They did the same thing on Star Trek Deep Space 9, where Beajore had a 26 hour day. And so if you're doing this kind of really fundamental changing to your world building, you really have to pay attention to how the world around us seeps into the sort of language that we're using.
